BARA cares. Caring means, among other things, taking responsibility. This is something we choose to do because we want to make the world a slightly better place. To contribute, our actions must benefit both people and nature.
Living in Norway, we know that we are privileged. However, we understand that we should never take that privilege for granted. That's why we've always made sure – from day one – that we built a business that ensures every employee that works directly for us or one of our partners.
How do we do this? By teaming up with like-minded people.
It’s of great importance to us that our partners have a sustainable production, and that the people working there are treated well. When buying a product from BARA, you can be confident that everyone involved in the production is given a fair wage. We work very closely with our suppliers and do not tolerate any child labour, discrimination or forced labour.
Some of our minimum requirements are:
• no child labour
• no forced labour
• no discrimination
• fair pay
• right to organize and negotiate with the employer
• normal working hours
• right to health care and a safe workplace
• the company must act in an ethical way
• the company must protect the environment and meet all requirements set
